Open Passport DC

SA Chamber USA and our Members South African Emporium, Fumana International, Wine and More Reimagined participated in the Washington DC “Open Passport DC” event this weekend at the South African Embassy.

This is a springtime celebration of international cultures in the Embassy District. We showcased the best of South African food and wine available in the USA as part of our Trade Outreach in promoting South African products in the USA. The Chamber is Proud to participate in partnership with the Embassy and DTI in promoting Cultural Diplomacy. Passport DC is a festival that pays tribute to Washington, DC’s thriving international community and culture. As part of the festival, the first Saturday in May is devoted to embassy open houses. Consider this your chance to stroll Embassy Row – a stretch of Massachusetts Avenue NW that runs through Dupont Circle and Upper Northwest – and visit some of the more than 170 embassies based in the nation’s capital. Thanks to this only-in-DC experience, people can take advantage to step inside a foreign embassy with the Around the World Embassy Tour.
