SA CHAMBER USA ESTABLISHES BOARD

The SOUTH AFRICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN THE USA (SA Chamber USA) launch on September 24, 2020 was a huge success. At our event to Celebrate South Africa’s Heritage Day, South African business owners welcomed this collaborative initiative between the Private Sector and Government.
South African businesspeople from various states in the US attended this gala event held in Atlanta, Georgia. These States included North Carolina, Georgia, Florida as well as California. Observers also joined our founding members who witnessed the signing of the founding declaration and constitution of the SA Chamber USA.
The Ambassador of South Africa, Nomaindiya Mfeketo sent a special congratulatory message to the SA Chamber USA. Because of Covid, she sent her message per video that was part of the program on the evening. The Founding declaration firstly established the SA Chamber USA as a federal Chamber for South African business in the USA. And secondly, as a business organization our purpose is to promote the interest of South Africans in the USA. Especially through business, commerce, trade and tourism.
SA Chamber USA will be a network to link business between South African and the United States of America. SA Chamber USA has as its main objective to advance, promote and unlock business opportunities for members. As well as their business interests by actively linking, connecting and networking between members. That is, members in the United States of America and in South Africa.

The SA Chamber USA is also proud of having 50% Women present at our founding meeting. We are serious about the empowerment, advancement and inclusion of Woman from Africa in Main Street Business in the USA. The South African Chamber of Commerce in the USA was officially established on 24 September 2020 by the founding members present at the meeting. Neil Diamond read the Founding Declaration that was unanimously adopted by the meeting. Neil will also be the Convener of the new Chamber. With the support of Vanda Texeira, they will establish a new leadership structure.
SACCUSA also received a powerful message from one of our founder members and renowned South African Religious leader Pastor Andries Enslin from Rhythm Church in Austin, Texas. His contribution to our launch event set the tone for a successful future vision.
The South African Ambassador to the USA, Her Excellency Nomaindiya Mfeketu gave a virtual message of support at the launch of the South African Chamber of Commerce in the USA. We will work with the South African Embassy as the center of the South African Diaspora to represent South African business interest in the USA.
