September 26, 2024The South African Chamber of Commerce USA, in partnership with the Western Cape Government and the US Mission in South Africa, is proud to announce an H2A Visa Jobs Fair to connect South Africans with agricultural opportunities in the USA.
Every year, around 11,000 South Africans work for 6-9 months on farms in the USA in a program to bring temporary agricultural workers through the H2A Visa program.
Key Features:
Visa and travel costs are generally reimbursed by the employer.
Bursaries are available for those who cannot afford the initial costs.
A soft skills training module on living and working in the USA is provided by the University of the Free State.
No specific skills are required, but an agricultural background is a plus.
Participants return with valuable farming experience, ready to uplift their communities.
