Productive engagement with the Mayor of Atlanta Andre Dickens as party of the South African Embassy state outreach program.
The South African delegation connected with the Mayor’s office on International Relations and Immigrant affairs.
South Africa has one of the largest immigrant communities in Atlanta. There are several areas of co-operation that we identified ranging from the 2026 Soccer World Cup to Youth Developmnt and sharing best practices on human settlements and economic development. We unlocked a solid relationship with Mayor Dickens administration.
President of the South African Chamber Mr Neil Diamond of Commerce USA welcomed the Ambassador of South Africa, HE Nomaindiya Mfeketo to Atlanta as part of the Official state outreach to Atlanta and the state of Georgia. We have a full program meeting with the City of Atlanta, a Georgia Business Round Table and a visit to the King Memorial Precinct and the Carter Centre.
