SACCUSA Hands Over Details of 67,000 South Africans to U.S. Embassy for Refugee Resettlement Request Today, the South African Chamber of Commerce in the USA (SACCUSA) successfully handed over the details of 67,042 South Africans to the U.S. Embassy in Pretoria, marking a crucial milestone in the resettlement process under President Donald J. Trump’s Executive Order issued on February 7, 2025.
A SACCUSA delegation traveled from the U.S. to South Africa to facilitate this handover, following overwhelming interest from South Africans who registered on SACCUSA’s website seeking more information on relocating to the U.S. under the new refugee status extended to Afrikaners.

✅ 67,042 South Africans registered their interest through SACCUSA’s platform by March 14, 2025.
✅ These details include information on registrants and their dependents seeking resettlement opportunities in the U.S.
✅ SACCUSA has requested that the U.S. Embassy provide updates and support to those transitioning to new lives in the U.S.
