By early afternoon, the group gathered, joy and conversation flowing like clinking wine glasses, as they boarded their private shuttle with Merrick Adventures & Transportation. The journey through Virginia’s scenic wine country had officially begun.
First stop – Veritas Vineyards and Winery. Nestled among beautiful rolling hills, this picturesque spot offered not only stunning views but wines as rich and full as the stories shared among friends. With clinking glasses and unforgettable photo ops, it was hard to say what sparkled more — the wine or the joy on everyone’s faces.
Second stop – Valley Road Vineyards, a cozy gem overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Here, the group sampled crisp whites and deep reds, each sip paired with peals of laughter and heartwarming connection.
Third stop – the elegant Hazy Mountain Vineyards & Brewery. With sweeping valley views and a relaxed vibe, this destination was a crowd favourite.
As evening settled, the group returned to the hotel, buzzing from their unforgettable wine safari. But the celebration was far from over. This weekend was not only about bonding — it was also about honouring heritage, strength, and the enduring spirit of women. August 9th, South Africa’s National Women’s Day, had never felt more alive, even thousands of miles from home.
The night wrapped up with a joyful pool party under the summer stars. Music filled the air, and the group danced, reminisced, and deepened their connections beside the glowing water.
